   Boundless Compassion Logo

“Compassion is a necessity, not a luxury. Without it, humanity cannot survive.”

—Dalai Lama

“Broken, wounded, violent, damaged, divisive…these are some descriptions given to our current global situation. Our world desperately needs the noble, essential quality of compassion to be activated…and will not heal without it. Depending on how we respond, we can increase or decrease the amount of anguish in our world. Only with compassion at the core of humanity’s lived experience will we be able to approach one another with true respect and dwell in peacefulness.”     -- Joyce Rupp

Guided by the teachings of Joyce Rupp, Rick will lead participants to experience a journey into the compassionate realms of: Compassion as a Way of Life, Compassion for Self, Compassion and Suffering, and Compassion for Creation. The practice of compassion is for Joyce Rupp, what Centering Prayer and the Spiritual Journey has been for Fr. Thomas Keating offered as a gift to the hurting world.

This day will provide for more of a retreat like experience than a workshop and will include periods of silent reflection and directed contemplative prayer exercises.

Rick gives talks and workshops on contemplative spirituality throughout Colorado. He is a teacher of Centering Prayer and has presented workshops on Teilhard de Chardin, science and spirituality, and mysticism at the Center for Contemplative Living. He was a past facilitator and teacher in the Benedictine Spiritual Formation Program offered by the Benet Hill Monastery.
