| | Spiritual Reading focuses on reading for formation rather than information. We chose this book to prepare us for Fr. Laird's teaching at our Annual Conference, March 10, 2012. In A Sunlit Absence Fr. Laird makes a "deliberate decision to remain within a Christian tradition" when describing contemplative practice. He says, "Christian wisdom on the subject is little known among Christians themselves." Join us as we explore the wisdom of our tradition illuminated for us by Fr. Laird. The book is included with the class and can be picked up at the Center after January 3 for those who want to get a head start on reading. |
