SCIENCE INFORMED SPIRITUALITY

A Brief Exploration of the Teachings of Ilia Delio

We are delighted to welcome Rick Klein back to the Center to share his insight and understanding of the expansive and in depth teachings of scientist and Franciscan sister Ilia Delio.

Following in the footsteps of Teilhard de Chardin, Ilia Delio combines the discoveries of modern science with insights from Christian mysticism leading to a new vision of wholeness for the 21st century. Together we’ll explore the spiritual implications of systems theory, quantum theory, and chaos theory. We’ll discover that science and spirituality are actually complimentary disciplines that provide a rich spiritual matrix of insights for the modern spiritual seeker.

This presentation requires no prior background in science, just the openness to being amazed by the remarkable universe in which we live. Rick Klein is a dynamic spiritual teacher who has the unique gift of being able to make complex and challenging spiritual and scientific material easily understandable to the average person.

Rick has facilitated and taught spiritual direction in the Benedictine Spiritual Formation Program at the Benet Hill Monastery in Colorado Springs, CO. He has also been a presenter in Benet Hill’s Befriending the Mystics Series. His primary areas of teaching are spirituality, mysticism and the lives of the mystics. He lives with his wife Lori in Fort Collins, CO.
