The year 2015 marks the one hundreth anniversary of Thomas Merton. His life and writings are not merely historically important, but offers a prophetic witness to a vision that points a way into the future.

As Merton wrote in an untitled poem from the book, In the Dark Before Dawn: New Selected Poems of Thomas Merton:

"All theology is a kind of birthday
 Each one who is born
Comes into the world as a question
 for which old answers
 Are not sufficicient ..."

Join us for this day of prayer, silence and spiritual enrichment as Father Tom Nelson, C.M. shares the dynamics of conversion (retreat, renewal and re-entry) as they unfolded in the spiritual journey of Thomas Merton.

Father Tom has studied the life and writings of Thomas Merton extensively. He lives in Denver, Colorado where he is chaplain for the Colorado Vincentian Volunteers. He also directs retreats nationally and internationally.
